A journey in search of God's Truth for our lives
TOPICS & LECTURERS
The school curricular will be delivered over a period of 5
days and 5 nights, with each day consisting for 4 distinct
Parts. Each part will be tailored to include elements of
Christian teaching. This allows the entire teaching and
learning process to be delivered over a variety of medium
using different styles from lecture based to group
discussion, projects and activities.
The following are the topics to be covered by the lecturers
during the 5-days of classes:-
Conflict and Relationship Management by Rev.
Sandiseharan
Personal Integrity by Rev. C. Jeyaraj
Sexual Temptation by Rev. Herbert D. John
Alcohol, Smoking & Substance Abuse by Rev. James
Ravindran
The Call to be a Christian by Rev. Devadas Ratnam
Each lesson plan consist of 1 - 1.5 hours of teaching, 1
hours of group project or discussion and presentation. The
other activities during the Youth School will be designed to
reinforce the lessons learned.
ACTIVITIES
Many fun and interesting activities have been drawn up for
the Youth School including:-
• Hill Climb/ Nature Walk
• Ice-breakers
• Treasurer Hunt
• Beach Games
• Talent Time
The activities are designed to allow for positive
interaction between participants of the Youth School.
Christian character and lessons will be reinforced through
several activities.
TRIBES
The students will be assigned to tribes (teams) each with
its own tribal name, flag and theme song or tribal chant.
Each tribe will consist of 5 - 8 members. Points will be
allocated via tribal challenges such as games and quizzes.
Further points will be allocated for discipline and
punctuality. Games and team challenges will be played
out to build team-spirit and trust amongst members.
